Safer Care Victoria’s Palliative Care Clinical Network has partnered with the Gippsland Regional Palliative Care Consortia and Gippsland Primary Health Network (PHN) to host a forum on palliative and end of life care in the region.
This half-day forum will focus on local level challenges and identify areas and ideas for improvement. This is a great opportunity to connect, share and engage with each other, and to learn something new.
Participants will step through a case study scenario of a lady living in the Gippsland region facing life limiting illness. The case study will present opportunities for participants to share their thoughts about what is working well and what might be an opportunity for improvement in the region.
A team of presenters for the forum include Ross Salathiel, a Paramedic with Ambulance Victoria, Dr Melanie Benson, Palliative Medicine Physician, Susan Jury the Statewide Voluntary Assisted Dying Care Navigator and Associate Professor Mark Boughey, Director of Palliative Medicine St Vincents Hospital as well as local GP Dr Roberto Celada and Kelly Koschade the Palliative Care Coordinator with Gippsland Regional Palliative Care Consultancy Service.
This forum will support participants to build and understanding of local palliative and supportive care services, understand ways to identify and act on quality improvement opportunities and building connections between clinicians in the region.
We encourage you to share the event flyer with your networks.
