Gippsland Medicare Local (GML) is calling on suitably qualified individuals throughout Gippsland to participate in key groups and advisory roles to the GML Board.
The Board has approved the establishment of three Primary Care Clinicians Advisory Group Chairs throughout Gippsland’s sub regions of East Gippsland / Wellington, Latrobe / Baw Baw and South Gippsland Bass Coast. These groups will engage general practitioners and allied health professionals in shaping the future strategy of GML.
Secondly as GML is the host agency for headspace Central West Gippsland, it is seeking to appoint an Independent Chair to lead the Consortium Advisory Committee in a role that requires a strong understanding of and experience in the youth services sector.
Finally GML is seeking two representatives from the consumer (patient) and carer community for GML’s Partners In Recovery (PIR) Steering Group. GML is allocating significant funding to contracted organisations within Gippsland’s mental health sector to deliver programs to support people with severe and persistent mental illness.
GML will be advertising for these important advisory roles in newspapers throughout Gippsland and full details of the positions can be found on the GML website at www.gml.org.au. Expressions of interest are required to be submitted by close of business Friday 31 January 2014.
