Blue Knot Foundation’s “Working with Psychosis and Trauma” masterclass will be conducted by 2017’s Mental Health Nurse of the Year, Matthew Ball in Melbourne.
This masterclass will help you acquire skills in both relating and working with individuals experiencing psychosis, including applying the three-phased approach, and the use of recognised somatic and psychological approaches to working with trauma.
This is a unique opportunity that integrates Matthew Ball’s lived experience and his practical experience on this topic.
Previous attendees have raved about this training:
“This training was abundantly fabulous! I found Matthew’s facilitation down-to-earth and authentic, but also incredibly rich in terms of the theoretical foundations underpinning this complex topic. He introduced information that both explained and challenged mainstream ideas about psychosis, in a respectful and considered way. I would love to see a public mental health system in Australia designed and implemented by Matthew Ball. That system would provide a really strong platform for people with mental health needs to have their trauma experiences acknowledged, with relationship-focused pathways to healing prioritized, alongside an intentional recognition of each person’s unique value and worth. Thanks Matt, for providing us with such a powerfully restorative and generative filter through which to view dissociation and symptoms of ‘psychosis’.”
– Sammy, Inner West Sydney Partners in Recovery
“Matt is an amazing and highly engaging speaker. I’m grateful for the opportunity to have attended this session and hear him share his passion in working with trauma and psychosis.”
