Webinar: Managing Prostate Cancer in General Practice

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed in Australian men. Despite a high survival rate a significant sub-group of patients report poor quality of life related to treatment side effects. GPs play a significant role in the early detection, prompt referral and management of prostate cancer and the related side effects.

This webinar supports general practice to improve their patients experience and outcomes by providing information of risk factors, informing and assisting men with their decision regarding PSA based testing, providing information on which symptoms to investigate further as well as improving understanding of management options and supportive care needs

Facilitated by Professor Jon Emery and Associate Professor Declan Murphy this webinar will be co-hosted with RACGP and is a component of the Implementing Pathways for Cancer Early Diagnosis (I-PACED) project, led by Cancer Council Victoria, the University of Melbourne and supported by the Victorian Government
