Gippsland Primary Health Network (PHN) has appointed Amanda Proposch as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Ms Proposch, who has been acting in the role since the resignation of Marianne Shearer on 30 September, will take up her new position immediately.
Previously Executive Manager Operations, Ms Proposch joined Gippsland PHN in 2015 after extensive experience from her previous roles in healthcare management, practice management, private and public hospital nursing management and healthcare design.
Gippsland PHN Board Chair, Dr Sinead De Gooyer, said the new CEO would bring “a wealth of knowledge and deep understanding of the health sector” to the role.
“Her commitment and dedication to improving health outcomes for our Gippsland community continues to be demonstrated through her ability to develop strategic and innovative partnerships, lead system change and reform and improve planning and service delivery,” Dr De Gooyer said.
“With her breadth of knowledge and expertise, I am confident Amanda will continue to lead to improve primary care across Gippsland.”
