To support implementation of the Australian Charter of Healthcare Rights (the Charter), you are invited to provide feedback on the draft consumer guide.
The second edition of the Charter was released in August 2019. It describes the rights that consumers, or someone they care for, can expect when receiving health care in Australia.
To support implementation of the Charter, the Commission has developed a guide for consumers that provides information on their healthcare rights and how to discuss concerns with their healthcare provider or service.
Feedback can be provided via an online survey before 6 December. It takes approximately 25-30 minutes to complete and you can choose to skip questions if you prefer to only provide feedback on some sections of the consumer guide.
