Two information sessions to provide an update on HeadtoHelp

HeadtoHelp is an Australian Government initiative in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, designed to help our community find the right mental health support at the right time.

On 17 August, the Prime Minister announced funding for Victoria’s six Primary Health Networks to set up 15 mental health hubs to support GPs by providing extra mental health services during the pandemic; two of the hubs are in Gippsland.

These hubs opened on Monday, 14 September and will support, integrate and build on the existing State and Federally funded mental health service system.

We want to ensure regional primary care services and health professionals are updated on this important new service, designed to support our community through a mental health system that is often can be hard to navigate.

The two mental health hubs and additional satellite sites will complement existing and newly funded mental health services.

We are holding two online information sessions on Thursday, 17 September – the first from 8.30-9am and the second from noon-12.30pm.
