Gippsland PHN is a federally funded primary health care organisation with a focus on supporting general practice, health planning, health system integration and commissioning services in line with national and local health priorities. Gippsland PHN key objectives are to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of medical services for patients, particularly those at risk of poor health outcomes, and to improve coordination of care to ensure patients receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time.

The One Good Community General Practice grants

One-off grants of up to $42,500 are available for Gippsland general practices to establish sustainable models of care using digital health technologies. The One Good Community General Practice Program (OGC GP Program) includes three elements: the Digital Health Maturity Assessment, OC GP Program Digital Health Toolbox and the OGC GP Program Grants.

Practice Incentives Program

The PIP QI Incentive is a payment to general practices that participate in quality improvement to improve patient outcomes and deliver best practice care. This new incentive starts on 1 August 2019.

My Health Record

My Health Record is a secure online summary of your health information which was previously known as the Personally Controlled Electronic Health Record (PCEHR).

SafeScript

SafeScript is software that allows prescription records, for certain high-risk medicines, to be transmitted in real-time to a centralised database and monitored. 

Smokefree Gippsland

Smokefree Gippsland is joint initiative by Quit and Gippsland Primary Health Network as a result of the State Government’s investment in the Latrobe Health Innovation Zone.
