You may have noticed your My Health Record app is now called 1800MEDICARE. Although the name has changed, you still have the same secure access to your My Health Record information, with new features and more ways to connect with care.
From 13 April 2026, after-hours health advice for Gippsland will be available through the Commonwealth Department of Health, Disability and Ageing funded service, 1800MEDICARE.
Gippsland PHN has released its Palliative Care Needs Assessment 2025 and Health Insights Palliative Care, providing updated insights into one of the region’s pressing health challenges and outlining priority actions to better support people living with life‑limiting illness.
Australians can now check symptoms, explore health topics and find health services on the go thanks to updates rolled out on the 1800MEDICARE app – making it easier to access trusted health information and services.
Endometriosis affects an estimated 14% of Australians, yet diagnosis still takes an average of 6.5 years. This highlights the importance of improving awareness, reducing delays and ensuring access to appropriate care. Endometriosis Awareness Month provides an opportunity to educate, advocate and support people living with the condition.
